Hi, I’m Darden Shuman.
Darden is a student at Princeton University studying French and Politics, with minors in English and European Studies and a certificate in the History and Practice of Diplomacy. She has maintained a strong academic record while completing rigorous coursework in international relations, foreign policy, and global strategy. Her academic honors include Magna Cum Laude distinction and multiple academic awards recognizing excellence and resilience.
Darden has gained experience in government and policy through her work in Washington, D.C., including serving as a Congressional Intern for the Office of U.S. Representative Terri Sewell, where she conducted policy research and prepared analytical briefings. She was also selected as a Leonard D. Schaeffer Fellow in Government Service, a competitive program focused on developing future civic leaders.
In addition to her policy work, Darden has served as a French peer tutor at Princeton and has taught English abroad in France, demonstrating a strong commitment to mentorship and education. She brings a thoughtful and engaging approach to mentoring and enjoys helping students build confidence in writing and critical thinking.
